Which prep book(s) should I buy?

Hi, I'm debating between the following textbooks to study for the SAT I which I will be taking in October. I'm planning to spend a chunk of my summer time studying for the test. I'm also hoping to only take it once, and once only. I'm aiming for 2200+ (aren't we all?)

I got a 169 on my PSAT in the 10th grade (I'm a rising senior now) but I could have cared less about it. There was no preparation and no effort whatsoever involved. I'm also not very good at math and I have only completed basic pre-calculus.

Anyway, here are the choices (based on some research i've done on CC and recommendations):

Barrons How To Prepare for the SAT

Barrons 2400: Aiming for the Perfect Score (what's the difference between these two anyway?)

Gruber's

Rocket Review

Thanks a lot and I'd be glad to return the favor on another question!

barrons 2400 is more for what you are trying to achieve. I personally like Rocket Review. I think it is really good and I recommend it for writing and critical reading. Grubers is really good for math

RR is good for math too

Personally, I think Barrons suck! Gruber's is really good for Math and Rocket Review is great overall.

i think that the Barron's how to prepare for the SAT was my savior...without it i would never have done as well as i did....

it was my bible for 2 months - i really recommend it

PKWsurf, why exactly would the 2400 be better?
