I've been browsing through PLME and HPME websites. By the looks of it, most schools require SATII Chem. But I'm already studying for biology and I don't have to study for another test. So is there any other any schools that don't need it?

sorry, most likely none

Yes, there are programs that don't require it. NEOUCOM is one of them. They, of course, give preference to Ohio residents, so that doesn't really help. Look around...I know there are more.

Rice Baylor doesn't, I don't think - they didn't when I applied.

I'm pretty sure there are more that don't specifically require SAT II Chemistry than ones that do . . .

Northwestern's HPME program requires Chem and Math IIC.

BU also requires Chem. and Math II, which is why I'm taking them Nov. 3rd. Anyway, in response to your original question, UMKC does not.

You should consider taking SAT II in Chem. Proficiency in Chemistry is a requirement for medical school admissions. Chem is an integral part of MCATs too. So, why not prepare well and do well in SAT II? It will open many combined degree options for you.

By the way, if you have taken AP Chemistry, you do not need to study further for SAT II. AP chem preps you pretty well.

I don't really remember that many programs that require Biology...most require math iic and chem, so maybe u should study for chem and forget bio

I have the same problem, it's too late to start studying for SAT chem now. but I don't think Brown's PLME program or University of Rochester's REMS program require chem.

what if someone takes SATchem just for the requirements sake but bombs it? he/she would still be considered right?

They'd probably still be considered but stand a slim chance of getting in. Having something required usually means it's pretty important.

plme doesnt need chem if u take act

Studying for SAT II's was unheard of back in my day. Gosh I feel old.

(Or maybe it was just at my school?)

any bio or chem schools?
