I am a high school student from India. I am applying to Canada this month and I am really confused about which universities I should apply to (I was thinking of applying to all the good ones but the application fees are too damn expensive). I want to major in physics and go into research later in life.

I'll be giving by final board exams in March 2013. I'll be getting marks in 5 subjects- English, Math, Physics, Chemistry and Psychology. I am pretty sure i'll get 90+ out of 100 in Math, Physics and Psychology. For Chemistry and English around 80-90. I also gave the SAT in June and got just 1780 (680 in Math and 550 in the other 2 sections) cause I didn't study anything for it.

I only have a few ECs like olympiads and quizzes so I don't think it will do any good.

I have UBC, University of Toronto, University of Alberta, University of Waterloo and Mcgill University in mind. I don't want to waste money by applying to all of them (if I do, it'll cost around $500). Will I get into UBC or UofT with the kinda marks I will get because I have heard they are very competitive? Will I get into any of the above I have mentioned? Which ones should I choose?

Also, do I have a chance of getting any scholarship?
