Which college course should I take as a high school senior?

I got accepted into a program that allows me to take one course each semester at College of the Holy Cross during my senior year of high school. I'm having trouble deciding which one I'd like to take though. Would colleges prefer seeing you take something that corresponds to what you ultimately want to major in or should I take a course in something completely new? I want to major in psychology when I apply to college. They recommend taking a 100 course but I already took AP Psychology and got a 5 so I'm wondering if I should push to get into a higher level Psych course or take something similar like sociology or anthropology?
Or would it be okay to take something completely new even if it doesn't correspond to my major? For example, I've been thinking about maybe taking introduction to programming. I don't have that much experience with coding or anything but it's just something I've been interested in learning about.
I know it's ultimately my decision but I would appreciate some opinions on courses you think I might enjoy or that would look better on my transcript. Thanks!

You can try Holy Cross’ old final exams for introductory psychology to see if you are ready to take a more advanced course in the subject.

However, you can also take other social studies courses like sociology, anthropology, or economics at the introductory level. Statistics is also useful in any social studies subject. Or just take any course that interests you. You may want to especially consider courses that are in subjects other than AP courses that you would have available to you anyway in high school in order to make use of the chance to study something not otherwise available to you (philosophy, religious studies, etc.).

Take what you enjoy, because that is what counts right? But I would recommend at least taking a look at Psych major requirements or recommended classes to give you an idea of what would be useful for you if you enter college as a psych major. Then you can be ahead of the game when it comes time to choosing courses because you will have already taken a course that most others wouldn’t have learned about.

Alternatively, you have room to explore, so you could try something completely new not offered at your hs
