Which college do I have more chance, Middlebury or Carleton?

Male, senior, Asian(Korean), immigrant(came in 2010), NJ (moved recently from NY),

SAT - C/M/W 630/750/670
590/800/760 --->2190, superscored (Note that CR score is particularly low)
SAT subject tests- BioM: 690 Chem:800 Math2:790

GPA - 3.95(unweighted)
9th - 4.0 or higher(mostly ESL classes), no H or AP
10th - appx 3.5 (no ESL class), H trig, AP bio
11th - higher than 4.0 , H pre-calc, H World History, AP chem, AP stat
12th - (transferred high school) no H, AP Calc bc, AP USH (purely because there were not enough H, AP classes!!!)
(And it is very easy to get high GPA in my former and current HS's)
AP classes - Bio(4), Chem(5), Stats(4)

I will apply Midd or Carl as ED2.
Middlebury's first quartile of SAT CR score is 640(about.com) or 630(collegedata).
Carleton's is 670.
On this information, I should apply Middlebury ED2.

However, overall acceptance rate for midd is 17% wile Carleton's is 31%.
Also, according to Collegedata.com, Middlebury considers ECs very important while Carleton considers ECs important. ECs are one of my weakest point.
This information suggests I should apply Carleton ED2 rather that Midd ED2.

Deadline of Middlebury college is 1/1. I must decide within few days.
Please anyone help me!

For both of these schools, grades and SAT scores are just part of the equation. Do you have something else to offer? Sing, play an instrument, participate in a sport, or have something you bring uniquely to the student life? It isn’t just SAT scores and grades. I personally know kids with perfect SAT scores and 4.0 GPAs who haven’t gotten into either of these schools. Did you do an interview?

I’d say you have a better shot at Carleton, all other things being equal, because odds are that you’re a little more “different” from their usual applicant - immigrant, fast ESL learner, coming from the East Coast will all play in your favor at Carleton while they’ll be more common at Middlebury.
However this will hinge on your essays and activities (did you win awards for anything - music, sport, academics? or start a club or charity or business…? Do you have a unique voice and a unique story?)

Either way, with your grades odds are very good you will do a great job in college and do well.
