I got accepted to FSU, Carnegie Mellon, Cornell, and Purdue: They are all giving me good aid, but FSU gave me more bc I’m instate. I want to major in Actuarial Science and based on the stats FSU and Purdue are the best for actuarial science. But I don’t want to box myself into actuarial science. In general I want to do finance but I’m starting to like economics too. And because of corona I can’t visit and see for myself, so I really need help.
Actuarial science is a very specific major. Based on your concern about being boxed in career-wise, you need to find a school where you can double major.
As a second major consider: Applied statistics, statistics, data analysis / data analytics, accounting, finance, or economics.
