Ok so I’m not sure what category this post belongs in, but if it’s not the right one please move it.
So I’m a highschool Junior and I have a few choices right now: (not in order)
- Columbia University
- NYU
- Stanford
Which has the best medical school since I want to be a doctor? What about business? thank you.
I haven’t taken the SAT yet since I just finished my sophomore year and will be a Junior next year.
Are you an international applicant? If so, from where?
Right now, you don’t have ANY choices except where to apply.
Medical school is a graduate program separate from undergraduate studies. Doesn’t matter what college you go to, you can still apply to any medical school.
What is your unweighted GPA so far?
@N’s mom
Nope. Just an American student.
@ JustOneDad I’m not sure about unweighted GPA…but just regular GPA it would be 3.8. But I’m planning to get a 4.0 perfect GPA
Is that GPA calculated with the additional weight for Advanced (Honors/AP/IB classes), or not?
An unweighted GPA comprises of all classes on a 4.0 scale, regardless of whether or not they’re advanced or regular.
A weighted GPA, on the other hand, gives a 5.0 (in most schools) for advanced classes, and a 4.0 for regular classes.
