This whole deal with weighted/unweighted gpa...

GPA wise, my school sends in the weighted one. But does the college actually look at the unweighted? Cuz, I took a lot of honors/ap classes
so my unweighted sucks, but my weighted is pretty good.

my freshman year with 4 honors, I had 3.64 / 4.0 scale
sophomore with 3 honors and 1 AP I had a weighted GPA of 3.86 / 4.0 scale
junior year (which is now) I am taking 3 APs and 2 honors and I hope to get straight As or weighted 4.15 / 4.0

next year I plan to take 4 or 5 APs.

I know that the school counts in your grades from first quarter of senior year too. Is it weighted the same since it's only first quarter? is it calculated in your final GPA?

So my question is does college look at your weighted or unweighted gpa or does it depend on whichever the school chooses to send?

My dream school is Stanford. How would stanford calculate my GPA and do I have a chance?

btw it's .5 weight for every AP class.

Many schools will recalculate your GPA based on their scale.

^^ Most will do that.

how do schools recalculate the GPA? for example, Stanford?

sorry, I meant is my grade pretty competitive for admission?

Stanford takes all your grades and A=4 B=3 C=2 etc and averages them. No weighting.

Reweight your GPA on that scale and I can tell you if you have a shot.

If you don't know how, you can PM me your grades and I'll do it for you.
