UW-Madison

UWash(Planning)

Please help me to finalize my college list and add any other good college for CS too.
Also do tell me my chances for the colleges I have applied/planned to apply.
Thanks!
Do you need financial aid?
Yes
If possible
But while researching I saw that most colleges do not give aid to international students
Even if they do, most are not need blind for internationals. That means an international who needs aid is less likely to get admitted. I am pretty sure that is true for all your colleges, so it hurts your chances. And you likely will not be able to afford to attend if you do get in.
Ya so that’s about it
I have a budget of about 40k
Please help me with the college list
<<<
I have a budget of about 40k

Figure that about $7k of that will go towards international travel costs, health insurance and personal expenses.
Ya
Excluding those the budget would be around 40k
The following probably will exceed your $40K budget limit:
UWashington
Indiana Bloomington
UMass Amherst
UMD-College Park
Purdue
Ohio State
Virginia Tech

Case Western and Rochester are private schools with even higher sticker prices than any of the above.
They may or may not be within your budget, depending on aid. They probably will be too expensive (since you are an international student and your stats are not well above their averages.)
Consider the University of Minnesota, the SUNY colleges, or New Mexico Tech (NM Institute of Mining & Technology).
