Which colleges is it better to apply early for?

Does applying early increase your chances at all? I heard for stanford it does

Yes for schools with rolling admissions.

It depends on the school really. The earlier you apply, the more room they have and the more money they can give (merit scholarships)

It helps pretty much anywhere except for Georgetown, Cal Poly, maybe BC, and recently Michigan. Now how much it helps greatly varies from school to school.

It’s actually harder to get into Georgetown usually EA. I don’t think Cal Poly or Michigan consider it.

Many schools require early applications to qualify for merit scholarships.

Do you mean Early Decision? THen yes.
Do you mean Early Action? Probably.
Do you mean earlier in the regular application cycles? If rolling admissions school, yes. Otherwise probably not.
