okay..whatever..

Benrumford, easy on Stuck, he never lived in the US. Dr. Kevorkian hardly made the news outside of North America.

Stuck, suicide can be committed with the use of an assistant, if the one attemting suicide isn't fit to it on her/his own. It is called euthanasia, or doctor assisted suicide. It is illegal (most countries equate assisted suicde with murder) almost everywhere except in some Northern European countries. Did you watch the movie "Million Dollar Baby"? If you didn't, go to your closest movie rental and get it.

At any rate, Dr. Kevorkian was a doctor in the US who openly assisted terminally ill patients in suicide. He fought his practice in court for many years until he was finally found guilty of murder and sentenced to many years in prison.

ah..i see.
technically it would be murder and not suicide, so i still think the whole "self inflicted" thing is wierd.

I've heard of a movie by that name but never seen it though. I'll check it out. :)

Whether assisted suicide is murder or not depends largely on one's point of view. There are many who believe that those terminally ill patients who are in excruciating pain should be given the choice to die with dignity and without more pain than necessary. To those people, assisting the ill in terminating their lives is a perfectly acceptable option. But we digress. This is an entirely different topic and needs not be discussed.
