Which CSU schools will I most likely be admitted to?

I've always wanted to attend SDSU, that is until I saw my SAT score. Which CSUs will I most likely get into that offers a good Business Management program? (Preferably one that isn't impacted). In addition to SDSU, I'm applying to Cal State L.A., SFSU, Chico, and SJSU.

GPA 3.4, 3.58 weighted- not that it makes a huge difference
SAT: 1480: reading 480, math 550, writing 450

Is your GPA weighted your CSU GPA? If not, calculate your CSU GPA:
<a href=“Cal State Apply | CSU”>Cal State Apply | CSU;

Then take your CSU GPA and calculate your Eligibility Index (EI) as follows:
(CSU GPA X800) + (SAT MATH + SAT CR).
For SDSU, you would need a minimum of 3900+ EI for any chance at acceptance.
For SJSU, you need around an EI of anywhere from 3200-3850 depending upon major.
For Chico State, an EI of 3700+ is good. SFSU and CSULA should not be too much a problem with your GPA and SAT score.

See link for additional SJSU EI information:

Any chance for a SAT retake??? I would highly suggest it so you can be more competitive.

Good Luck.

Just checked, my CSU GPA is 3.71. I am taking the SAT again in two weeks. My current EI is 3998 (btw, I thought the EI included the writing, I guess not!) I also took the ACT but I’m still waiting for those scores. Thank you!

So an EI of 3998 puts you in good standing for most schools on your list. SDSU still could go either way, but you have the other Cal States as backups. The EI thresholds change every year, so it will depend upon the Stats for this years class; unfortunately they have been rising. Good Luck on the ACT and if you can get your EI to 1000+ (ACT), you should be in much better shape.
