Which degree will most likely help me become a computer software engineer?
I do not know whether it is a bachelor in computer science or in computer engineering.
Computer Engineering (CE) is a major for people who want to affiliate themselves with computer hardware.
Computer Science (CS) is a major for people who like to use various programming languages to analyze a certain problem or create meaningful applications.
Both majors require lots of math. To answer your question, CS is the right major, but it will NOT ONLY prepare you to become a software engineer, although any “software engineering” degree is kind of only scratching the surface of CS and is usually marketed deceptively. Companies want computer scientists, not robots.
