Hi. I’m in the process of applying for graduate studies at University of Minnesota and University of Michigan.
For University of Minnesota, in terms of out-of-state experience, resources and environment, which campus is better: Twin Cities, Duluth or Rochester?
Is off-campus housing easier to handle or is it better to live on-campus for an out-of-state student?
Within MN, those universities are very different. Rochester is new and tiny and only has a handful of majors in the health sciences. Duluth is in a beautiful, cold and somewhat remote part of the state. Twin Cities campus is very large and is located in the middle of the Twin Cities. It is harder to get into the Twin Cities campus than it is to get into the Duluth campus, but the programs in engineering and business at Duluth are popular.
I’m now re-visiting the sites and I don’t see a master’s program in Public Health. Thanks!
Twin Cities has the Public Health school : www.sph.umn.edu
Twin Cities campus offers the best academics and environment. Living near campus is best as parking is tough/expensive and you don’t then need to rely on buses.
