Which essay should I submit for Common App?

I have two essays, both of which I really like.
Unfortunately there is only one 'essay' section for the Common Application and some colleges that I'm applying to don't have a section on their supplement that would fit the description of either essay.

So basically the first one is about flight, a hobby of mine which I'm quite passionate about. Its about my first experience of flight and getting my license to fly solo. Its focused on this one topic only and isn't a "broad" subject.

The second one, I would say, is more "broad". Its about my decision to leave my life in the city where I was underachieving/slacking off and going to boarding school in the distant country-side, where I've learned to, etc ,etc be superman and what not... Its more of a 'life story' kind of thing...

So back to my question (forgive the digressions): Which should I put as my CommonApp essay and which should i attach to supplements, keeping in mind that some schools do not have an area on their supplement where i can attach such an essay...

Thanks in advance!

gonna bump since i had no answers

I think the first one is more original and interesting because flying isn’t a particularly common activity, especially among high schoolers.

The first one - colleges love people who have a passion for something. Make sure to include flying in your EC’s

Flying thing sounds pretty cool! But I like both.
