I have written 2 potential essays for Yale's supplement; one is more intellectual and academia-oriented (think Stanford's intellectual vitality essay), while the other describes my pre-professional interests in business. If both are equally well-written, which one would I be better off using?

Whichever one showcases you as a person more.

the problem is that they both showcase me in different ways… :/

I think the one about pre-bussiness one will be a very pervasive theme in other apps essays. However choose the one that is thr most unique, something with a twist that would engage the admissions readers. Good luck

Have a friend read them both and give you advice. It’s less about the very general topic of the essay than its content.
