I made a list of possible essay topics, I’ll probably end up writing several of them, just which ones do you guys like best and think would help me the most?

I wrecked my car this summer, but it’s a good story and I thought of a kind of cool take on it, plus i learned stuff, etc.

about my dad (impact on me) he was a high school drop-out, has been in AA for about 10 years now, is extremely conservative (and i’m really liberal- we fight a lot about that sort of stuff) and also how he’s turned his life around a bit, and just the sort of dynamic we have with each other. im sure they get lots of “my dad” essays, but he has obviously had a profound impact on my life

this absolutely crazy cambodian family that the brother and one of the sisters are some of my best friends, and stuff ive done at their house

in 8th and 9th grade i suffered badly from a form of OCD but now ive mostly conquered it, i’d talk about my struggle with it and overcoming it without medication

i have this fear of touching mayo, ketchup, and mustard and i also don’t like to eat most red foods, it’s really weird, i guess i could write about that (i have reasons!)

my foreign exchange student, having him here has taught me a lot about my personality and attitude

at this debate thing this summer, there was this particular issue that i feel VERY strongly about and someone went up and said the most ignorant thing and i guess i could write in story-form about the experience and my reaction

i have a cool story to go with it! about a time when i realized everything in life was connected. i actually have lots of little stories but i guess thats what its like, i’m just afraid it would go off into a thing where i sound pompous and its too cliched. but it would have experiences of mine in it that are pretty unique.
