Need to choose between: Embry-Riddle, St Louis, WPI, UC Davis and RPI for Aerospace Engineering. Anyone have input?

I am also considering Aerospace Engineering and I know that Auburn and Purdue have some of the best Aerospace Programs in the country

Embry-Riddle is pretty impressive for aerospace.

Embry-Riddle is a ridiculously good aerospace school, but that is basically all there is there, so if you don’t have a problem with the fact that you will be around only AE’s, then it is a good idea, but if you want a broader perspective with a more diverse mix if people/majors, then I would go elsewhere.

And skgymnast28, Auburn is a good school, but I wouldn’t say it is one of the best in the country. Purdue is definitely up there in the top 5 or 6, but Auburn is probably somewhere in the top 25ish.

yea i thought embry riddle only had AE as well…i thought wrong they have all major engineering, mech civil electrical computer and a couple more…but its an aero school so…everything in those majors will be focused on application to airplanes/space

embry riddle aeronautical university

I know they have all engineering, but you won’t get all the OTHER stuff, which as much as you sometimes resent the fact that they feel like their basket weaving class is hard, its still not a bad idea to have that diverse group around.

Also if you decide to switch, it may be beneficial to go to a school with more options.
