You can call admissions offices of schools you are interested in and see what they might accept. It seem schools vary widely on what they will accept and how they handle transfering credits. I wold make a chart as you call each school then you can decide which classes would be accepted by the largest number of schools. My daughter is going to CM u. She took classes in high school as dual enrollment credits with a local university. She was told her English credits would likely be accepted but she is still waiting to hear if they will be accepted for credit and what credits will be given.

Freedom,
You should be pretty well set on your Gen Eds at most programs if you take the full sequence of Freshman Writing (whatever comes after Eng 111), American History, and an Intro Philosophy class after what you've already mentioned. The only thing I recall that would be a problem for transfer is if you take a course via distance learning - i.e. online. For some reason, U Miami won't accept those. At least they wouldn't four years ago and I assume there may be others.

Freedom,
Go to the site of the specific colleges you are interested in and there is a place that tells you which courses at outside colleges and community colleges in various states will transfer. You might be surprised. That way you can go with the courses that have the best chance of transferring and hope for the best. Good luck.
