Which GPA would look better?

Unweighted: 3.9574/4.0

or

Weighted: 4.3191/4.5

You need to ask each college/university/scholarship that you apply to. Some require unweighted. Some require weighted with information about the weighting formula. Some require something else entirely.

They are making me choose between weighted and unweighted.

Who is making you choose between weighted an unweighted?

What will they use the number for?

The scholarship application only has one spot to fill in for GPA and I can put either weighted or weighted.

My personal opinion: Unweighted. You have a great unweighted GPA. For a weighted, it’s not too impressive(I have a friend with a 4.6 – we’re not even seniors yet). Given, each school has different ways of weighting their classes.

Ultimately, it’s obviously up to you. But that is what I would do.

Submit unweighted- nobody will understand how the weighted works but unweighted is clear (since each HS weighs differently and the weighting method is typically described in the school profile which I assume is not going out with the scholarship application).

I think unweighted is the way to go.
