<p>My daughter wants to become a Speech Pathologist. We have looked at all the Schools in our area that offer the program. I wanted to get some advise on which school people think is better..Towson University or Penn State. I liked both but am not to happy that she would have such big class size if she went to Penn State.</p>
<p>I am a speech pathologist. Do both schools also have a graduate program? If yes, then she should go to the school that she likes better. Both schools will give her the education she needs.</p>
<p>In terms of name recognition Penn State would go further, which, for undergrad, name recognition is more important than program strength. Program strength tends to be more important for grad school.</p>
<p>One more thing- the school your daughter attends will lead her to licensure and certification in that state. If she wants to work in a different state she will have to apply for her license/ teaching certification in that state.</p>
