Which is better: 31 ACT or 2160 SAT?

<p>Daughter just got these scores back and this is her second time for both.
32 each in English and Math, 31 in Reading, 28 in Science.
First ACT total was 29.</p>

<p>SAT was 700 Reading, 720 Math, 740 Writing=2160.
Her first SAT was 2060,so she came up 100 points.
She will take both tests again in the fall, but if these end up being her best effort, which of the 2 test scores looks better to admissions officers?

<p>definately the 2160. I'd say the 31 is roughly equivalent to 2020-2060</p>

<p>According to this table a 31 is equal to old scale 1380, which if multiplied by 3/2 yields new-scale 2070. The SAT score is better; however, she may have to take subject tests if the colleges require them.</p>
