I have read many reviews and in my opinion, based on the threads I read, I find both books equally good. But which is better to get 700+ in each of the three sections of the SAT? (Paired up with the college board book or princeton's review's 11 practice test obviously)

barrons...much harder

it may be harder but Kaplan is tooooo easy. It doesn't reflect the real thing.
barron's is better

but which book as the better strategies?

barrons hands down

"barrons hands down"
ru4real1666 did you actually use barron's SAT 2400 and Kaplan's SAT 2400?

haha yes...i used barrons and bought kaplan but returned it because after using barrons for about a month...their strategies seemes so much better/effective in improving my score and kaplan didn't really help me

but did you read the reviews for Kaplan at
http://ceeae.org/news_commentary/index.htm
It reveals that the Kaplan'S sat 2400 is just as good as the barrons sat 2400, however the kaplan sat 2400 is better organized than the barrons sat 2400

well people on this board have made me biased against kaplan i guess

i sorta feel the same way

^^^
I agree...I had a Kaplan's workbook and a barron's...I only did 1/4 the workbook and stop doing it cuz it was easy

I used Barron's 2400 and got a 2310. I don't know anything about the Kaplan book though.

Was that the only book you used? How much did you improve from using that book?
