my friend took it and those were her two scores. Also, she didn't get any questions wrong on PLAN reading and yet only got a 30 of a possible 32. is it possible that her test was misscored? thank you.

Alrighty,

27 on the ACT= 27 on the ACT.

201 PSAT = 2010 SAT = 31 ACT

sooooooooooooooo, the 201 PSAT is more impressive.

And that's really funky with her R score.

PSAT is wayyyy better if 27 PLAN is the same thing as a PACT.

and are you sure she got them all right? Cause maybe she just thought she did? lol

Loonlake:

27 on PLAN does not = 27 on the ACT

PLAN based on a 32 point scale....ACT on a 36 point scale.

It would be more like the equivalent to a 30 on the ACT

Ok. I didn't know that.

The PLAN is ridiculously innacurate, FYI.

Omg It's DAMN good.. I wish I was smart like y'all people.... PSATs are hard in my opinion, got like 145... I'm soph too.

It's on a scale of 32, not 36. Your actual predicted score should be around 29-31.

Long ago when I took the PLAN I think I got either a 26 or 27 or something. My estimated ACT was 27-31, so I'd say the PSAT and PLAN scores are pretty comparable, with the PSAT maybe being slightly better.

i think both are pretty nice

So, PSAT is slightly better if 201=31 and 27 gives u estimated ACT range of 28-32. am i correct?

w00t w00t, I gots a 23 on dat paln test.

would u like fires with that?

201 PSAT.

Plan for me & everyone i knew was REALLY inaccurate.

a 31 on the ACT doesn't equal a 2010 on the SAT. a 2010 is like a 30, a 2070ish is more like a 31.

27/32 = 84.375

201/240 = 83.75

So the PLAN is slightly better.

I also had that happen to me on PLAN reading. None wrong, yet 30/32 on the section.

It says on the back of the score report how many problems you missed in each section.

ACT/SAT--Percent of students at or below this score
36-2400-100
35-2390-99.98
34-2300-99.7
33-2250-99.3
32-2200-98.6
31-2140-97.4
30-2070-95.8
29-2000-93.7
28-1950-91.5
27-1890-88.2
26-1830-84.3
25-1780-80.4

If your PLAN score was a 27, which iirc is a 30-32 estimated, then your PLAN is higher. A 201 on the PSAT is still great. It would be high enough for NMS in my state.

^ Only problem with those percentiles is that the PLAN is only out of 32, not 36.

^Which is why I said a 27 PLAN score is about a 30-32.

Ok, and then also consider that the plan estimates what u will get next year when you're smarter and the psat measures where you're at now.

rachael, that isn't how you do it at all... i would look at the national percentile.
