Which is better for mechanical engineering: UCI, UCSD, or Cal Poly Pomona?

I was to get accepted into these schools, but I’m not sure which one has the best engineering program. I hear Pomona is well known for its great hands-on engineering program, while the UCs are more theoretical. I know that Pomona is good and cheap as well, but if the UCs are significantly better than Pomona, then I’m willing to pay that extra money for it. Thanks for any input!!

UCSD has a much better known school of engineering and mechanical engineering department, more cutting-edge research taking place, and better local opportunities for internships and careers. Especially if you’re looking into graduate school or employment outside CA, it’s probably the strongest choice. To be fair, take into consideration the cost difference with Pomona and maybe visit both schools before deciding.
