Which is better...

Ok I'm having a really difficult time debating this and thought maybe you guys would know better. I'm a student at Rutgers and plan on majoring in Business, now they're business school isn't even nationally ranked (except their program in Newark but that doesn't apply to me). I was just thinking of other possible business schools in the vicinity of Jersey and was wondering if Villanova's School of Commerce and Finance is any better or majorly better or just anything helpful would be appreciated. Also any other good programs in the vicinity would be appreciated. Thanks so much!

rutgers-new brunswick is ranked 80 somthing

While the College of New Jersey business program is not nationally ranked or very prestigious, it is an excellent program, and overall the school is better than Rutgers, but also more competitive

I got into the accntncy program at TCNJ and was very impressed with the program after being skeptical of its ability to rank up with top business schools

There pass rate on the CPA exam was #3 last year and they beat out UPENN

The programs are small, the teachers are knowledgable, and the students are smart and conscientious

U might also want to check out U of Maryland and PENnstate. They are 3-4 hours away but their business programs are very highly regarded, and nationally ranked, not that that really is a good indicator of the quality of education you will get

Can someone please tell me where to find your school's rankings?

TCNj is not ranked as far as business because they are a small, public liberal arts type college. They are ranked #5 in the masters schools in us news and world report, because they do not have phd prgrams

As far as CPA passing rankings, they are published every year and can easily be found on the internet.

Though, while rankings are important to some degree, they should not be the sole determination of a better college program. Obviously, the CPA is a difficult test, and the schools that have the highest pass rates obviously have students that have mastered the material through the thorough education they have been given. The pass rates show results, which in my book are much more important to perceived and preconcieved prestige.
