Which is more important?

I know that the SAT/SAT2's are less important than the high school transcript. But which is more important: test scores or junior year grades? I actually argued over this with a friend. In the end we decided that they were fairly close in importance.

junior year grades. this is the last year for college's to look at what you have done. I think junior year grades are the most important overall if you dissected everything.

^they see first semester senior year grades as well

Could someone give me a estimated proportion of how important junior year is over freshman/sophomore year? Thanks.

Some see first semester senior year, some don't. For the most part, junior year grades are the most important, then test scores.

Jr. Year gpa, test scores, soph. year gpa, frosh year gpa in that order of importance. Do not underestimate the importance of good test scores... they definitely help... a lot, esp. if you are a NMSF!

Golden Ratio FTW!!!

^ Only on CC would someone plug the golden ratio as a clever joke, and only on CC would a bunch of people actually recognize it.

Really? I figured it would be closer to 1.2020569031595942854.

[1 + sqrt(5)]/2 : 1 is a better ratio, thank you very much.

Sorry Mr. Technicality!

silver root? i think...
