which is more prestigious, gallatin or stern?

simple question, i'm not asking about which is better based on my personal fit, i'm just wondering which you think is more prestigious

Stern......lol

Stern and Tisch are the two most prestigious schools at NYU...

Stern (10 char)

Stern

Gallatin keeps getting more applicants, but then they just expand the size of the incoming class...

definately stern

umm yeah i think u get the point that it is definitely.........

STERN.

alrite, but now, which one is harder to get into?

lol, Stern

This makes me feel like crap for applying to Gallatin. :)

you can't go wrong with nyu though... no matter what school you go to

Gallatin is a really good school for pursuing your individual interests...it won't help you if you hate business but yet you're applying to the more "prestigious" school. Go where you will be able to individually grow. I know that EVERYONE says that, but it's honestly really the best route to go.

Don't think about which one is more prestigious. I'm in Gallatin and every Stern kid who doesn't inform me about my future homelessness (which, I might add, is NOT true, look at Gallatin alumni accomplishments, they're impressive) is jealous and wishes they applied to my school. There are fewer requirements and you have so much more room to explore your interests.

However, it's not for everyone and Stern could be a better fit depending on what you want out of your education.

You definitely won't be homeless coming out of Gallatin, but at the same time Stern kids aren't "Jealous." Most of the Stern kids would sell their left nut or ovary to get an investment banking job - which is 90-100 hours a week...so they don't really care that much about the excess work load of Stern...all they care about is maximizing money because they hope it will make people like them.
