<p>Okay so I'm a freshman in college and I'm a psych major going the pre-law route. I decided I wanted to take calc 2 just out of curiosity and now I'm about to get a C at best. The deadline to withdraw is coming up and I wanted to know which is more frowned upon: a C on a transcript or a W. This class is completely unnecessary for my major and interests but I'm still worried. Please help!</p>

<p>Are you on FA or merit aid? If you withdraw, will you have enough credits this term to be considered a full-time student to keep your eligibility for aid? If you have enough credits, then will a C factored into your GPA disqualify you for continued merit aid?</p>
<p>The W. Or you could take the C and just retake Calc 2 next semester.</p>
