Which is worse: waiting for our ED/EA decision or the moment you open the letter?

I’m not sure which is worse - waiting to find out if I made it into Williams or the moment I open the letter. I guess you could say it depends on what the decision is. Nonetheless, I’m not sure if I should be so anxious or if I should be dreading the decision.

I’m just so nervous that I have to talk to someone … And since my friends aren’t applying to selective schools I have to let it out here.

If you need to vent any anxiety, do it here. I’ll listen.

Good luck to everyone and hopefully the anxiety ends soon.

I think the waiting is worse. I am comforted by the fact that if I get rejected, I have more schools that I love and would be more than happy to attend. The waiting is just...ugh!

definitely waiting.

waiting. by far.

waiting...and getting rejected haha

Yeah, exactly. Waiting and then seeing that the envelope is too thin!

Ahhh!

I think opening the letter is worse even if it is accepted, just thinking that this letter could possibly hold the key to the future at my number one choice college or that it will reject me from my number one choice college is amazing. There is no stress in waiting, it's just waiting, but opening up the letter is telling you your future.

I think opening is worse, especially if its online, because you don't know if it's fat or thin.

Either way, though, it will be over soon. Whatever decision I get, I will at least be comforted by knowing the decision.

you wont have to wait that long.. i heard colleges sent big envelopes to accepted students and small to rejected =)

Waiting....asdlfjasdfjjakdfjasdf SO CLOSE!!!!!!!!!!!!

prays for a huge envelope

Opening, definitely. Especially with your parents watching you. I plan on haunting the mailbox and getting it before them, so I can calmly say the results while eating my dinner.

After considerable crying, of course, whether I get accepted or not.

The whole "moment of truth" with college admissions is almost as bad as the "Apprentice" "you're fired" moments.

LOL tebro! That's so true. Except rejection letters are more "We regretfully inform you that..." instead of being mean about it. But still, I will compare it to that!

If opening the letter is worse than waiting, I'm not sure I can handle it.

And additionally, the guy who mailed the letter probably was ugly and had a comb-over like The Donald. Muse on that and laugh--at least you're not balding. :)
