Which languages can you speak, are learning, and want to learn?

<p>Sindarin is ‘common’ elvish. Quenya is the older language, not commonly used. I think Tolkien equated it to Latin in our world.</p>

Want to learn: Farsi fluently so I can a) actually talk to the majority of my siblings and b) know what my parents are talking about when they don’t want me to understand :)</p>

<p>I probably won’t bother with Portuguese and/or Japanese, seeing how I most likely won’t use them very often later on in life. I’m a firm believer in “quality over quantity” – I’d much rather end up being fully fluent in 6 languages, to the point where I can communicate spontaneously and effectively and write well, and have sound knowledge of Hebrew and Greek due to my religious background, than dabbling in a ton of others.</p>

Want to learn: not spanish anymore, I don’t care about speaking it proper since I never want to go to Spain anyway. Mandarin or Japanese would be cool but I’d never really learn it. I’m fine not knowing anything more.</p>

Want to Learn: Re-continue Spanish, and learn Mandarin Chinese, and become fluent in Pig-Lain (I know how to, but not full speed - there are two girls at my school who can full speed speak and understand Pig-Latin)</p>

I also know some Turkish (listening to my grandma talk to my dad) and some Arabic (from Muslim prayers, sayings, etc.) but I haven’t really pursued either.
I am learning Spanish (I’m in the highest level of it offered at my school).
I would love to learn Italian and Portuguese, which shouldn’t be very difficult because I’ve heard they are similar to Spanish.</p>

<p>I would love to learn another, more interesting language. I’ve tried to teach myself Dutch and Japanese, but I’m not good with languages naturally.</p>

Currently learning Spanish and learned a bit of Latin in the past.
As for what I would like to learn, I wouldn’t mind learning Korean, Japanese, and French…but I know I won’t get very far trying to learn new languages as my attention span is very comparable to an ant’s.</p>
