Obviously I’m gonna need a laptop when I attend VT in the fall. The laptop I own now is too old so I’m planning on getting a new one soon. Do I need a Windows computer more than a Mac? Are there more programs or applications that my classes will use or does it not matter which one I get?
I suggest you wait until you go to summer orientation. They will discuss laptops during your visit
Look at the VT website. they have computer requirements listed by college. the campus bookstore is where you can buy and they will preload all the software and they offer the required support. I verified their prices are very competitive.
