Which looks better, a C or an R(resign)?

Hi, I’m currently a freshman CS major.

I have all As for my core courses and a B+ for a gen ed.
For another gen ed course I’m taking, the best I can get is a C with a fair chance of a D.

I want to transfer after my sophomore year. Would resigning better my chances? (Looking at places like UC Berkeley / College of W&M / University of Washington / etc.) Currently attending SUNY-University at Buffalo.

Since 60 credits seem like the general requirement for transfer students, I’ll have to take an extra class or two over the next two semesters to make 60 credits. Could that be too much work if I want to keep getting As in my core courses?

Thanks!

I would like to know the answer to this as well. Personally, I feel like a C shows that you put some effort in instead of just dropping the class. You’re doing well in your other classes, I would stick it out. Admissions is probably more forgiving than you’d think they are.

What about a D? It’s also fairly likely :frowning:

A R is better than a D, but not necessarily a C.
