i've been debating as to what would be better for me for next semester [i am currently a junior]. my options are...

community college course - taking political science at a community college. this is a subject that i am truly passionate about and law and government is somewhat of a theme i am trying to be consistent with in my college apps. also, isn't it that taking college courses in general looks good?
or
extra ap - i could do self-study to take ap macroeconomics. however, i am already planning to take 4 ap exams in may so i am unsure if i will be motivated enough to take an additional exam aside from the ones that i am already "required" to take. i'm also unsure if i would get at least a 4 if i am just doing self-study. [has anyone else done self-study for ap macroecon?? any textbook suggestions???]

so, thats the situation i am in... any advice would be greatly appreciated.

they both take a lot of work. they both (probably) will be worth as credit do your college. both are considered and look "good". choose the one that you like better and the one that u think u'd have a higher chance of succeeding in.

Considering that all you would have to show for self-study is an AP exam score, it will all be a waste if you don't do good, and you seem to care about the community college class more, so I would say take that instead of self-studying for an AP exam. It never hurts to have an extra good grade on your transcript, and a 5th AP on top of the 4 you are already taking (and you will probably take more next year) won't make a huge difference.
