Which NYC colleges would be most likely to accept me based on my circumstances?

I am a transfer student who has been attending community college for almost five semesters and overall achieved a 2.90 gpa and finishing this past spring semester with a 3.0 gpa.
Throughout the entire time I have been working 25+ hours at a part-time job, doing internships in the field I am interested in, and participating in club life on campus.
I am interested in Communication Arts/Journalism and possibly interested in minoring in economics.

Please suggest a few colleges that may fit me.

If you would like to help I will give more info!

The college admissions process can be a mysterious and beautiful thing (I know from experience). I’m sorry I can’t be more helpful in suggesting schools, but I would suggest applying to schools that peak your interest. And I do mean all the schools that peak your interest.

Sorry to bring this back up, but I was browsing and came across this.
My mom was at community college for something like four or five semesters and worked her way through them, a situation a lot like yours from what I can tell (amazing that you can balance so much work and school at the same time, too, good for you!). She got into Cornell as a transfer student.
Big-name colleges really seem to like community college transfers, so don’t sell yourself short and it doesn’t hurt to apply.
As for NYC schools, I’m not very familiar with them but Pace seems to be a really good school for communications, maybe Fordham, and you may want to look at CUNY schools.
Best of luck!
