<p>If you go online and look under "admissions" for all of these universities, all of the admissions requirements will be spelled out, and you will be able to find information about the application itself.</p>
<p>I know for a fact that USC and UMich DO require them.</p>
<p>Most colleges will require at least one essay.</p>
<p>if essays are a problem for you, i know that the university of washington doesnt require them. but they are optional and you really should do them.</p>
