Which of the following schools has the best pre-med program for their students?
1) VCU
2) GMU
3) JMU
4) VT

Also...

I feel that VCU would be the best option for me because they actually have a med school in addition to the fact this would be the route of minimum stress and risk in terms of getting a seat in med school in addition to having many intern opportunities etc. However, the only problem is that I really don't want to go to VCU...(For all who do not know, VCU has a pre-medical program combined with undergraduate studies that if student follow the academic guides, they will have a guaranteed admissions to the school's medical institution called MCV). I just don't favor urban settings and always wanted to transfer to UVA because all my siblings attended there. It is also a beautiful college that offers top notch education. Although If I do decide to transfer I'm putting my chances of going to Med-School at risk because I will no longer be enrolled in VCU's pre-med program... What should I do? I am interested in hearing all of your opinions.

You seem to have misunderstood the VCU program. You don’t simply sign up for the classes and get guaranteed a space in medical school. You apply to the guarantee program, they decide whether or not to accept you. For 2011 they report that they accepted 17% of the applicants who were entering frosh (they don’t give numbers for current VCU sophomore applicants to the program). So it is no shoe-in! In fact that acceptance rate is lower than the national acceptance rate for regular students applying to medical school. And if you look at the requirements for VCU sophomores applying to the program, if you meet all of them you’d be a pretty strong candidate nationally anyway. So it isn’t like this is a secret back door to let everyone in.

Although I do have to say I’m a bit confused by your post because you say “would be” which is future tense and seems to be talking about what happens when you finally begin college, and yet later you talk about transfer as if you are already a student, Care to clear that up?
