Hello! I’m interested on studying Product/ Industrial Design. I graduated from high school this year and Ive decided to attend a community college first, for two years and then transfer. I live in the state of California and Im debating whether to attend Art Center (located in Pasadena) or the California State University of Long Beach. Basically the classic question of “University or an Art school?”. Obviously CSLB is SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper! (I’m not rich, so I really like that)
The major in the Art Center is called Product Design and in CSLB is called Industrial Design. Ive researched and it says both majors are the same. Could someone clarify this to be true?
Anyways, If money wasn’t the problem which school has the stronger product/Industrial design program?
Is the Art Center worth to be in debt for? Ive heard good things about it.
Any other good schools you would recommend around the LA area?
