Which one is the best school ? (İndustrial Design)

Hi iam a transfer student , majoring in industrial design ,

Which one is the best school and which one is the hardest to get in ? (Consider that iam a transfer student)

-Pratt institute
-RISD
-University of Cincinnati
-Parsons

İf there are other schools you know , please advise :)

Thanks ,

You can also look at:
California College of the Arts
Art Center College of Design
Syracuse University
Carnegie Mellon

From a pure reputation perspective, all of the above noted schools are good except for Parsons. I haven’t had anyone rave about Parsons.

Personally, in today’s economy, I would either pick Art Center, which has reputably the best ID program in the country or Cincinnati because of their integrated coop program. However, I don’t think you can go wrong with either Pratt or Syracuse or CMU.

As taxguy said above, Art Center would be a good choice. I’m not sure how transferring would go though, since they have no foundation year and start right into their major freshmen year… unless you’re planning on starting from freshmen year anyways…

RISD and Syracuse have a 5 year industrial design program I believe.
