Hi, as stated above, I’d like some suggestions please!
Ethnicity: Asian American
Gender: female
Grade: 11th
GPA: 3.97 (unweighted), 4.71 (weighted)
Rank: 23/923 (unweighted), 5/923 (weighted)
Grades: All As (except for one B in my chem class)
SAT:
720 CR, 720 M, 760 W (2200 Composite)
or
720 CR, 780 M, 760 W (2260 superscore)
PSAT:
730 reading, 750 math (1480 total score out of 1520), awards not out yet
SAT Subject:
Chinese - 740 (only because I messed up the CD for the listening portion and had to skip 10+ questions)
I plan on taking Math 2 and Physics/Japanese during June or October this year, depending on how ready I am.
APs:
10th grade - World history(4), Chinese(5)
11th grade - Lang, Calc BC, Physics 1, Environmental, Compsci
12th grade - Lit (tho not going to take AP test), Physics 2 (if enough people sign up for the class at my school), Econ/Political systems, Stat, also going to take Multivariable Calc., which is offered at my school but not as an AP
tbh what I’m really worried about are my ECs. I don’t have much at all:
- 30+ hrs, and hopefully more, of peer math tutoring (10, 11, prob 12)
- ~40 hrs of volunteer at school district office (9), mainly helped out the clerks there with filing, labeling, typical desk work
- ~30 hrs, and hopefully more, as Junior Naturalist at local shoreline summer camp (10, prob 12)
- Many volunteer trips at local shoreline to drive out invasive species (9, 10, 11, prob 12)
- JV swim team (9-10, prob 12, no awards)
- president of Performing Arts Club
- no work positions
- applying for several summer programs in environment/engineering field
Awards: Superintendent’s Honor Roll (9~12), some PSAT award
Intended Major: Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or Physics
Thanks in advance for the feedback!
