Say a kid from Alaska goes to a boarding school in CT, which region's admission officer is going to read his file? Alaska or CT?

I’m pretty sure you’re read based on what region your school’s in… but I’m not 100% positive.

Generally it would be the admissions officers for the region of your school, that way they can more easily compare against others who have similar situations and opportunities. They would also be more familiar with the standard of your school (like how competitive it is, its history in sending ppl to college etc.), while a reader looking at AK would not have that same familiarity with all the NE boarding schools AK students go to.
