Which replicated ACTs are the best (Barrons, Princeton Review, HM?)

I took the ACT for the second time on September 9th. I was trying to raise a 31 to a mid thirties score; I think I did well but obviously I don’t know yet.

I prepped really hard for the Sept. 9th exam; I took every official ACT test available (used 3rd and 5th editions of The Real ACT), including the few officials I could find online. I used several study guides; I bought Barron’s 6 ACTs and I thought they were ok.

I’m now preparing for the October ACT, and don’t have any official tests left to take. Does anyone have recommendations for replicated ACT’s that I could use to practice? I purchased the ACT online service (kind of like Khan Academy for the ACT). Has anyone used Princeton Review’s or Kaplan’s ACT’s and had good results? I wanted to get some advice before I head to amazon.

Thanks so much!

google CRACK ACT

I liked the 5 Pound Book of ACT Practice problems.

While “mid 30’s” sounds more doable than “perfect” that is essentially what you are aiming for. That last point or two will be your mental game - being rested, eating well, keeping your brain sharp from beginning to end, feeling more confidence and less stress going in, etc. Obsessive practice doesn’t really help with any of that.

Thanks so much for your help! I’d never heard of CRACK ACT or the 5 pound book and I’m very grateful for the new suggestions.

Barrons etc are not replicated. They’re written by third parties and should be avoided. Only use real tests.

@CHD2013 I was posting because I’ve run out of real ACT tests to take and was looking for the next best thing.

I understand but there is no next best thing. Keep learning the tests you have. If you can teach each question on 10 real tests, you should be ready to get a very high score.

CHD2013 Thanks! I got a 32 on my last test and I’m sooo close to a 33…
