<p>Which residences are recommended/best to live in?
Does anyone know what Gardener and/or McConnel (sp?) are like?

<p>I just want to second luciep's question. I would love to hear more about the different residences and the pros and cons of each.</p>
<p>I don't go there but I visited last year. I would not recommend New Res... It's literally an old hotel. I also have heard rumors (and a friend that goes there confirmed) that most of the kids that live there are the spoiled rich kids and that all the real partying and whatnot goes on in the normal res halls.</p>
<p>I'd love to live in Solin, the old factory (chocolate factory I believe?) that was converted. Supposedly has a really tight knit community and the nicest/largest dorms out of all of them. Only downside is it's a subway ride from the school.</p>
<p>Other than that I can't comment much on the others.</p>
<p>i noticed theres a 1500CAD deposit for housing...when's the deadline for that? I'm not 100% committed to Mcgill yet so i don't know what i should do with that</p>
