MY SAT Subject test scores are Chemistry: 800 (90th percentile), Math: 790(75th percentile), English Lit: 740(88th percentile). I need to send two scores to Rice University. Obviously, I will send Chemistry. Which other one should I send–Math or English Lit?
Send them all or send the 800 and 790. Either way it will make no difference IMO. They will consider the highest 2. If Rice is like my college, little elves in the basement (well, work/study students) assemble a cover sheet which lists only the top 2 Subject Test scores; the other scores will appear further inside the package if the AO decides to dig for them.
It is important to understand that for several subjects, the percentiles are depressed because so few colleges request Subject Tests, that the ones that do are the ultra selective ones. As a result, it is the high achieving kids taking the tests. No AO is sitting on the floor cross-referencing scores with percentiles.
Echo above completely.
Would just send them all, a 740 is not shabby.
Rice has recently published some guidance on which scores they want depending on the school within the university you are applying to. Your two highest ones will work for any of the schools. If you are applying as a humanities student, then maybe send the Chem and English. https://futureowls.rice.edu/futureowls/Standardized_Tests.asp
