Which school is better: U Miami or Villanova?

University of Miami or Villanova University if have the same aid and everything?

Have you visited? If both schools have your major and are both affordable… choose the one that you like better.

Villanova

FWIW, US News gives them exactly the same ranking (tied for 46th among national universities).
Here are the factors US News considers:

Whether one or the other is better for you might depend on your personal preferences (for location, major, etc.) or on each school’s admission and aid decision.

They may have very different vibes and it’s impossible for strangers on the internet to tell you which school is better for you.

Maybe check out the FACULTY of the majors that interest you. Do any stand out that you’d like to work with? Are their topics of research more interesting at one place over the other?

What about the party vs study ratio.

Climate?

Rural vs. urban vs suburban? (I don’t know if you mean U of Miami in florida or Miami in Ohio frankly)

Food? Dorms? Clubs?

University of Miami

but the real question should be Which school is better FOR YOU

Yes, it’s much more important HOW a student goes to college than WHERE they go to school. That, of course, is especially true when two schools have such similar rankings in many areas. A student could go to either, work hard, take advantage of opportunities, and get a world-class education. A student could go to either and get very little from the experience. Everything being equal, go where you want to go. You are the one who will be living and studying there for four years. Good luck, work hard, have some fun, treat everyone well!

No one can answer this question for you. What’s better is based on criteria that only you can determine (weather? location? sports? support for hobbies? where you want to work after? etc.). Beyond YOUR criteria, they’re the same.

They are peer institutions so if they are equally affordable pick the one that suits you best.

Think about things that are different between the schools…Which location do you prefer? What size of school do you prefer? Do you like the idea of a Catholic school or do you prefer a secular school? Have you looked at the core curriculum for both schools (likely Villanova requires some philosophy/theology coursework)? Do you prefer the overall vibe at one school? Where do you want to work after graduation and how is the placement in that area? In short go through the different attributes of each school and decide for yourself.
