Alright, so I'm going to Purdue for the '08 Fall semester and was wondering if I do transfer which school has better financial aid. My EFC is 0 and will probably be for also due to the '08 tax return. The schools would be NYU, Cornell, Boston Univ. I know NYU doesn't offer that great of aid but yeah please offer opinions also.

bump..10 char

NYU expects me to take out 19k in loans. They barely gave me aid and most was loans. My EFC is 12k. Boston U gave me 32k in grants and 8k in loans. I think Boston U is bettter.

Many schools offer only limited financial aid to transfers. Check with the schools to make sure.

Wow you've got to be kidding 19k in loans!?!?!? Jeez. Yeah BU is alot better x.x

In general, transfers get much less FAid than those entering as freshman. You should contact these colleges and ask specifically about aid for transfers.

Oh okay. Thanks everyone!
