Can't choose. Need help please. BU vs Baruch in New York

First and foremost, thanks for taking the time to open this thread.

I got rejected from my number one choice NYU Stern and I was thinking of trying to appeal to them first, and if not, worst case scenario, attend another school for one year and then applying as a transfer for regular admissions.

Here are my four choices:

BU ,vs Baruch
Baruch is a CUNY here in new york with an excellent business program.

I plan to major in Finance .I live in New York and I love the city, but I really want to get into NYU and I was wondering if attending slightly “harder” schools such as BU as compared to let’s say… a community college, would help my chances of getting accepted to NYU next year as a transfer.

I also have a couple more questions:

which of these two has the best finance program?

which of these two would most likely appeal to NYU ?

How do these two compare to each other?

Where should I go? is the hardest question.

I am REALLY confused about where I should go. I would like to make the best choice possible. Thanks for your time , I appreciate it !

bump (10char) any advise is appreciated thanks!

BU is going to be WAY more $$$ than Baruch...did you get financial aid? I think Baruch is just fine if you're staying in NY; BU has a better national reputation.

i have around $31,000 for boston university. i plan to work in new york in the future but I'm unsure. I dont know which university to go to )= . having a very hard time deciding.

Do you mean that BU gave you 31K in aid? That would mean that your cost woul d be about 20K vs 7K for Baruch.

Yeah. I talked to my parents about this, and they said dont worry about the cost.

It's just what I really want to do. I know its my choice in the end, but it's always better to ask for advice (=

I want to stay in the city... but my stats aren't so great and I got into BU's school of management, I know a lot of people who applied and got either rejected/waitlisted/ or had to go to the general studies program.

I feel I would regret not making the right choice...

Baruch is a pretty good school. While not nationally known I think they still get their share of people placed in NYC finance.
