Hi, If I want to do pre-med, which of the 4 schools should I choose?
I read from posts here that pre-med people should choose Biological Basis of Behavior as a major and I found it under The College of Arts and Sciences on page 10 of the application, but when I went to the school's website, it shows all the political and leadership stuff. I'm really confused >_> Could someone help me here?

Thanks!

Any one of them really (except nursing I guess). Your major before medical school doesn't matter. You don't need to major in bio or chem to get into a good medical school.

Or, did I misread your question... Are you asking which school offers pre-med as a major? I think CAS.

There's no pre-med major at Penn, but you can bet that a lot of people choose BBB to fill that role. If you're really pre-med, you should apply to CAS, as the other schools will be too much unrelated work for you.

^ wait, so BBB > biology / biochemistry for pre-med?
i'm in CAS and plan to be pre-med. i want a major that will easily fulfill the requirements because i plan on majoring in music as well....so should i do BBB instead of bio or biochem or does that not make a huge difference?

Biochem would probably be the hardest major in terms of classes and getting good grades out of the three you put. From what I've heard, BBB is the easiest of the three, though don't think of it as easy; it's still probably quite challenging. Med schools will not care what you major in. Major in what interests you most. You can go to med school majoring in music if you wanted to. However, if you look at the BBB requirements, you can kill a lot of them with classes you would be taking towards premed anyway. I believe it accepts the most premed classes compared to any major. BBB is also very popular among premeds and I'd guess the majority of people in the major plan to go to med school.
