I will be applying to the Georgetown class of 2022 and am having some serious troubles determining which school to apply to. I want to double major across the College and the SFS in Political Science and International Relations, respectively. While my application has a larger focus on political science, the College has a lower acceptance rate (14.6%), so I am considering about applying to the SFS instead which has a higher acceptance rate (16.7%), hoping for a better chance to be accepted. Will applying to SFS make a significant difference?

No
Nope. SFS has a higher acceptance rate but slightly better (really statistically insignificantly different) test scores, etc., so it might just be the case that the SFS has a slightly stronger applicant pool overall. You should apply to the school you would most want to be in.
As a point of clarification you also can’t double major across schools. And if you’re in the SFS you can’t minor in any of the other schools either.
