Which Schools Give Extra for National Merit?

I just got my National Merit letter for getting through the first round today, and I seemed to remember that there were certain colleges that would give you extra money if you listed them as your "top choices" on the NM form.

Anyone know of some of these colleges?

Check the sticky in the Financial Aid section.

They tend not be be colleges NMFs are interested in. USC with half tuition for SFs is probably the highest ranked school that does this.

University of Chicago gives between $1000 and $2500 per year.

The Ohio State University has the distinguished scholarship for NM finalists--full in-state tuition plus $4500. There is a link somewhere that lists all the schools with substantial merit awards, but I can't find it. Anyway, you will be getting a lot of mail from schools (esp. in the south--Oklahoma, Texas) that offer full scholarships. Most of them, like OSU, have honor colleges within the university where you have priority registration and small classes. A lot of money for doing well on one test given on one day!
